The Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 100mm f/2 ZF.2 is a manual focus macro prime lens for Nikon F-mount cameras, renowned for combining an exceptionally fast f/2 maximum aperture with outstanding close-up performance. Its optical design originally developed for the ARRI/Zeiss Master Prime cinema lenses employs a floating elements system that maintains superior image quality across the entire focusing range, from infinity down to a minimum focus distance of 44cm, delivering up to 1:2 (half life-size) magnification. The ZF.2 designation means the lens features a CPU interface, enabling full autoexposure modes (aperture priority, shutter priority, and program), manual exposure support, and EXIF data transmission on compatible Nikon bodies.
