As you stop down the aperture, these characteristics progressively diminish, reaching a balanced sweet spot at T2.8 and behaving like a clean, modern cinema lens by T5.6-T8. This versatile design lets cinematographers dial between vintage aesthetics and clinical sharpness using only aperture control, all while maintaining neutral colour rendering that matches the standard ATHENA PRIME series for seamless intercutting in post-production.
