Your standard lens is great for capturing most of the things that you are surrounded with day by day, but what about the things that are a little further away? For Sports, wildlife, or even for keeping up with your kids as they run freely, this Nikon 55-300mm VR lens has enough range to keep you amongst the action. This versatile 5.5X zoom range is all the more remarkable due to the fact that it doesnt come with the added bulk, or higher price tag that is sometimes deemed necessary for a telephoto zoom lens.

At large magnifications every little bump can sometimes lead to significant blur, but this is not the case with the Nikon 55-300mm lens. This is due to the lens VR II stabiliser, which also allows you to shoot freely in low-light conditions. The Silent Wave Motor is great for keeping up with subjects on the move so you can freeze them within your frame, while its speedy and whisper-quiet performance also lends itself to video filming, now a staple of the modern DSLR.
