The Metabones Canon EF Lens to Sony E Mount T Smart Adapter (Fifth Generation) is a precision electronic lens mount adapter that enables Canon EF and EF-S mount lenses to be used on full-frame and APS-C Sony E-mount mirrorless camera bodies. Built with precision-machined brass and chromium plating on both the camera-body and lens sides, it features a rubber weather-resistant gasket at the mount, internal felt flocking to reduce reflections, and a strong leaf-spring structure on the lens side to ensure a secure, play-free connection. A high-performance 32-bit processor powers its industry-leading electronic communication capabilities.

As a “Smart” adapter, it enables full electronic integration between the Canon lens and Sony body supporting both phase-detect and contrast-detect autofocus, aperture control from the camera body in all exposure modes (P, S, A, and M), optical image stabilisation (IS), and 5-axis in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) on compatible Sony bodies. It also transmits EXIF data including lens name, focal length, and aperture, supports smooth iris control on select lenses, features a programmable function button, and includes a status notification LED to indicate the current operating mode. A removable Arca-type compatible tripod foot with a 1/4″-20 thread is also included on the adapter body.
