62mm Hoya Neutral Density 4x (ND4) HMC Filter

Hoya’s ND4 neutral density filter is an essential tool for photographers working in bright conditions or seeking creative control over exposure and motion. Whether you’re shooting snow-covered landscapes, beach scenes, or fast film in daylight, this filter reduces incoming light without affecting colour balance, opening up photographic possibilities that would otherwise be impossible.

The ND4 filter enables you to:

• Use slower shutter speeds to capture beautiful motion blur in waterfalls, clouds, moving vehicles and water
• Shoot with wider apertures to reduce depth of field and isolate subjects from their backgrounds
• Effectively reduce the ISO of high-speed film, allowing fast film stocks to be used outdoors in bright sunlight
• Prevent overexposure when filming video or using fixed-shutter-speed cameras in intense light

The HMC (Hoya Multi-Coated) optical coating minimises reflections at the filter surfaces, dramatically reducing flare and ghosting while maintaining excellent light transmission of over 97%. This means your images retain sharp contrast and accurate colour rendition, making HMC filters the ideal choice for enhancing modern multicoated lenses.
