Engineered for photographers who refuse to compromise, this telephoto prime combines a sophisticated 14-element, 9-group optical formula incorporating 4 extra-low dispersion (ED) elements and 2 high refractive index (HR) lenses to render subjects with breathtaking clarity from corner to corner. Whether you’re shooting wide open in the golden hour or pushing into low light at a reception, the f/1.8 maximum aperture and 11-blade rounded diaphragm conspire to produce the kind of silky, three-dimensional background separation that makes a portrait feel alive.

At the heart of the LAB is Viltrox’s Hyper VCM autofocus system a linear voice coil motor that locks onto eyes and faces with micron-level precision at speeds 150% faster than conventional AF motors. Focus transitions are whisper-quiet, making this lens equally at home on a cinema rig or a wedding dance floor.
