The Sigma 23mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary is a fast-aperture wide-angle prime lens designed for APS-C-format mirrorless cameras with a Canon RF mount. It delivers a field of view equivalent to 35mm on a full-frame camera, making it an intuitive and versatile focal length for everyday shooting, street photography, landscapes, and portraiture. The optical construction comprises 13 elements in 10 groups including 3 SLD glass elements and 2 aspherical elements to achieve outstanding sharpness and clarity, while careful flare and ghosting countermeasures ensure clean results even in backlit conditions.

With its large f/1.4 maximum aperture and 9-blade rounded diaphragm, this lens excels in challenging low-light environments and produces beautiful, smooth bokeh for subject separation. An inner focus system driven by a high-speed stepping motor provides fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus for both stills and video, with a minimum focusing distance of just 25cm for close-up work. The lens is dust- and splash-resistant with a brass bayonet mount for durability, and it supports in-camera image stabilisation and lens aberration correction on compatible Canon RF cameras.
